A Level company - serving Worcester, MA

Our Guarantee & Warranty - Level Two Chimney Worcester

Every visit starts with

Level 1 sweep and inspection to the NFPA 211 annual standard - flue, crown, cap, and flashing checked and photographed

Worth knowing

Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.

The Level Two Chimney Worcester Guarantee

We stand behind every chimney we touch in Worcester. Since 2009, we’ve inspected and cleaned more than 38,000 chimneys, and every single job left with a written price agreed beforehand and a documented record of what we found. That practice became the Haven Standard. Corrine Halstead, our owner, runs this shop on a simple rule: if we said we’d do it, we did it, and if we did it wrong, we make it right. The 365-Day Done Right Promise is stamped on every job. No exceptions, no runaround, no “call the office and see what they say.” You get a written scope, a written price, and a written warranty before anyone picks up a tool. That’s Clause 1 of the Haven Standard, and it’s how we’ve operated from day one.

What’s Covered

  • Workmanship on every repair, sweep, and rebuild. If a joint we sealed leaks, a cap we installed shifts, or a liner we set fails because of how we handled it, we come back and fix it under the 365-Day Done Right Promise. The warranty travels with the address, not the owner, so it stays in force even if you sell the house.
  • Parts and materials sourced through Haven’s buying network. We pull flue liners from DuraFlex, crown repair mix from HeatShield, caps from Gelco, and fittings from Olympia Chimney, Famco, and Copperfield. These aren’t shelf leftovers from a hardware store run. If a part arrives defective, we absorb the cost of replacement and the labor to swap it. You don’t chase manufacturers.
  • Jobsite cleanup, start to finish. Chimney work makes soot. We lay runners, seal the work zone, and vacuum hepa-grade before we leave. If we tracked ash through your hallway in Worcester’s West Side or left mortar on your driveway in Tatnuck, call us. We’ll send someone to make it disappear.
  • On-time arrival with a named technician. Clause 3 of the Haven Standard, “Arrive on schedule,” means you get a text when your tech is en route, a uniformed crew member with a background check on file, and a license number you can verify. If we’re running late because a flue collapse in Shrewsbury Street took longer than estimated, we call. You don’t watch the window.
  • Honest pricing with zero invoice surprises. Clause 1 requires a written price before work starts. Not an estimate range, not “we’ll see when we get up there.” The number on the page is the number on the invoice. If we find something unexpected during a camera inspection, we stop, show you the footage, and get a signed change order before proceeding.

Our Satisfaction Promise

Our Satisfaction Promise

Here’s what happens if you’re not satisfied. You call (978) 307-8288. A live person answers, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No voicemail maze, no “leave a message and we’ll call back Tuesday.” You describe what fell short. We schedule a return visit at no charge, send the same technician or a senior crew lead if the job was complex, and we don’t leave until the issue is resolved to the standard we promised. That’s the 365-Day Done Right Promise in motion.

We’ve had homeowners in Worcester call because a smoke smell lingered after a sweep, or because a crown repair didn’t match the brick color they’d expected. In one case on Chandler Street, a flue liner we’d installed had a manufacturing seam we missed during initial inspection. We pulled it, re-ordered through DuraFlex, and re-installed on our dime. The homeowner got the photo record of the new install, same as the first, and a note in their file. No argument, no deductible, no “that’s normal wear and tear.”

If we genuinely can’t make it right, we’ll refund the labor portion of the job. In 16 years and 38,000 visits, that’s happened twice. Both times, we still provided the photo documentation and the written record, because Clause 4 of the Haven Standard doesn’t have an escape hatch.

Licensed & Insured Backing

The paper behind the promise matters. Level Two Chimney Worcester is licensed and insured, with coverage that protects your property, our technicians, and the structural integrity of your home. When a crew climbs a three-story roof on a Victorian in Elm Park or works a steep pitch in Indian Lake Estates during an ice dam winter, general liability and workers compensation aren’t checkboxes. They’re what let us hire experienced people instead of day laborers, and what let us warranty our work instead of disappearing after the check clears.

Our license number appears on every page of this site and on every technician’s paperwork. You can verify it with the state. Our insurance certificates are available on request. The Haven Standard was built on transparency, not trust-me handshakes. Corrine Halstead has run this operation since 2009 on the principle that the only thing worse than a bad chimney job is a company that won’t own it.

That ownership is what you’re buying when you hire us. Not just a sweep or a liner or a crown pour. A record, a warranty, and a phone number that rings at 10 PM on a Sunday when you smell something wrong from the fireplace.

How to Use Your Guarantee

How to Use Your Guarantee

Keep your written scope, your photo record, and your warranty card together. They’re your proof of what we found, what we promised, and what we charged. If something changes, if a cap loosens after a Worcester nor’easter or a liner shifts during freeze-thaw season, call (978) 307-8288. Reference your job date and address. We’ll pull the file, review the photos, and schedule a return visit under the 365-Day Done Right Promise.

If another company has given you a written estimate for work you question, bring it to us. Our Free Second Opinion service means we’ll inspect the same components, show you our camera footage, and tell you straight whether the scope matches the condition. No charge, no obligation, no hard sell. Clause 1 says “Have it in writing.” We think you should have the right writing.
